The recent visit by a German delegation to Ghana has resulted in the signing of several deals, including one for a new power plant and another for West Africa’s first vaccine manufacturing plant, The Difference has learnt.
Confirming the outcome, Ghana’s Vice President, Mahamudu Bawumia tweeted:
to be the cheapest on the market and when integrated into our national grid, would significantly reduce the cost of electricity. (2/2)
We also witnessed the signing of an MoU between Merck KGaA and Ridge Management Solutions for construction of the first purpose-built vaccine manufacturing factory in West Africa.’
Observers say the avalanche of world leaders ‘rushing’ to boost trade with the West African nation is in recognition of efforts made to boost the enabling environment in the country, remarking that it is ‘an endorsement of Ghana’s pro-trade policies.’
