Fresh from the weekend’s convention activities that formally produced them as candidates for their respective parties, the duo of President Muhammadu Buhari and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar are now locked in a ding-dong of sorts over the choice of a Vice President, VP pair.
And in all of this, the South West of the country where the incumbent Vice President and hot favorite to pick up the All Progressives Congress slot, Professor Yemi Osinbajo is the beautiful bride.
Along this line, one name that is being tossed about as a possible VP to PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar is the former Minister of Agriculture and current President of the African Development Bank, AFDB, Mr. Akinwunmi Adesina.
Analysts say that given the state of affairs in the country presently, it is critical that the mainstream presidential candidates take extra care in choosing their running mates as it could ultimately account for the difference between winning and losing the February 2019 polls proper.
