Parliament puts heat on President
By Nsikan Ikpe
Fresh trouble is brewing for South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa ahead of contentious presidential elections to be held in 2019.
This is coming on the heels of the president’s confirmation that a controversial campaign donation had been accepted on his behalf by his son, Andile.
Responding to questions in parliament, Ramaphosa confirmed that the donation of 500,000 rand had been made by the facilities management company, African Global Operations (Bosasa).
Democratic Alliance leader, Mmusi Maimane is already asking for an independent probe of the affair.
