Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and his counterpart in Lagos, Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday picked up the tickets of their respective parties to fly their flags as candidates in the February, 2023 presidential elections in Nigeria, The Difference reports.

While Kwankwaso is running on the platform of the fledg;ing New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, Tinubu is flagbearer for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and erstwhile Anambra State Governor, Gregory Peter Obi had earlier secured the tickets of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the Labour Party, LP.

The elections are being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and the successful candidate would replace outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari whose tenure lapses on May 29, 2023.
