By Theodore Tasie

As the 2023 political process continues to loom large, Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has endorsed the pitch for a Southern president that was made on Monday by governors of the region.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, the governor argues that the move would help advance the cause of equity and justice in the nation.

The Middle Belt Governor also welcomed the call by the governors to rake further legal steps towards ensuring an end to open grazing in their states before or by September 1, 2021.

Thousands of Nigerians have died in skirmishes related to open grazing even as the continuing and expanding spiral of violence, banditry and criminality in the country continues to unnerve many a Nigerian.
