AFCON: Beating Sudan, Nigeria advances to Round of 16

Nigeria’s Super Eagles beat the Sudanese national team 3-1 on Saturday, advancing to the Round of 16 of the ongoing African Cup of Nations, AFCON.

 

The Nigerians had in their first match of the tournament, pipped Egypt 1-0

 

The competition is being hosted by the Central African nation of Cameroon and among several other upsets, the Black Stars of Ghana lost to Gabon on Friday.
