Buzz is on for first Conference and AGM of Book Clubs network

The buzz is on at the moment for the first National Conference and Annual General Meeting of the Network of Book Clubs and Reading Promoters in Nigeria, NBRP.

 

The event which is billed to take place at Watbridge Hotel, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State from September 18-19, 2021 would feature discussions around the subject of books, reading and public libraries. There would also be performances, excursion sessions and a business meeting of the books and reading advocacy group that was founded 18 months ago.

 

Specifically, the business session would feature, among others, the election of officers for the network and the choice of the Nigerian National Book Clubs City 2022.

 

Among speakers billed to deliver papers at the conferernce are the Keynote speaker, Professor Felicia Etim of the Federal University, Otuoke, Prof Ahiaoma Ibegwam of the University of Uyo, Dr Nkem Osuigwe of the African Libraries and Institutions Association, Mr Dare Oluwatuyi of the Booksellers Association of Nigeria and Chief Uchenna Cyril Anioke of the Nigerian Publishers Association.
