Chukwumerije, Oluwatuyi, Amadi for reading summit

Notable Nigerian spoken word poet and Director of Programmes at the Abuja Literary Society, Dike Chukwumerije; President of the Booksellers Association of Nigeria, Dare Oluwatuyi, and Associate Professor at Baze University, Abuja, Dr. Sam Amadi are billed to speak at today’s first anniversary summit of the Network of Book Clubs and Reading Promoters in Nigeria.

 

The summit which opens at 3pm, has the theme Running Book Clubs and Promoting Reading in a Time of Pandemic and is being moderated by the founder of the iRead Mobile Library Network, Mrs. Funmi Ilori. It is a virtual event and would be hosted on the Zoom platform.

 

A statement from the Network and signed by its Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Okoro outlined that the group was doing everything possible to ensure the inception of a viable experience sharing and mutual advocacy platform for book enthusiasts and reading promoters in Africa’s most populous nation.
