Concern mounts as coup in Burkina Faso is confirmed

Concern is mounting all across Africa as news of the coup in Burkina Faso have presently been confirmed, The Difference can confirm.
This is coming on the heels of initial denial by the Defence Ministry that all that had taken place was sporadic shooting.
However, the army has presently added voice to the suspense over what was going on through a signed statement as well as a formal broadcast on Radio and Television where it has also announced a suspension of the constitution.
The regional body, the Economic Community of West African States and the continental grouping, the African Union have condemned the action.
There has been a resurgent spate of military incursions in recent years in Africa. Some affected nations are Sudan, Mali, Guinea and Chad.
