Buhari 4

By Olanrewaju Oyedeji

Efforts continue in Nigeria to find a lasting solution to the menace of cattle herders who are allegedly attacking communities across the country.

In one such effort this Wednesday, a representative of the Chief of Defence Staff, CDS Maj. Gen F.O Alli met with the central association of cattle herders in Nigeria, the Meyati Allah group, to deliberate on the incessant incidents of herdsmen/farmers clashes.

The meeting is coming on the heels of a presidential directive to security chiefs to seek out and punish all perpetrators of the respective attacks that have since engulfed states as Benue, Nassarawa and Enugu. Others are Delta, Ondo and Kaduna.

We will bring you more reports of the outcome of the meeting subsequently.
