Group makes case for people living with albinism

The Empathy Driven Women International Initiative Nigeria, EDWIIN has embarked on yet another awareness- raising initiative on albinism.
Tagged UVCare, the event took place on Saturday at the Palms Mall, Lekki, Lagos.
It featured talks, exhibitions, counseling and an affirmative runway parade where participants displayed crafted messages such as #EDWIINALBINISMAWARENESS PROJECT and #EDWIINUVCARE.
Partners for the project included Stanbic IBTC Bank, The Palms, Access Bank, SECO, US, CPR, US, DSR, Visions, and the Dermatological Society of Nigeria,
Others were The Eye Doctors, Lagos Albinism Awareness Society, April Benjamin and Dawn Company, Lola OJ, Punch Newspapers, Vanguard Newspapers, Funke Ani and Afterzed Ltd.
Also on ground to make up the models and demonstrate the efficacy of their pale skin fitting applications was the international cosmetics brand, Bobbi Brown.
EDWIIN was set up to address issues relating to people living with disabilities in Nigeria.
