The kingdom of e-Swatini (formerly Swaziland), Rwanda and Egypt have reportedly joined the race to host the secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement, AfCFTA.
Before now, the race had been seen as an exclusive one between the West African nations of Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire.
Analysts say the new development suggests the intensification of horse trading among interested nations, and most notably, the Regional Electoral Communities, RECs from where they originate.
