Activists in Nigeria are responding cautiously to the attempts to probe incidents of police brutality in the country in the wake of the #EndSARS protests and the resultant social crisis that has come in the wake of the poor management of the protests.

The probe panel in Lagos was inaugurated on Monday and is expected to commence sittings on Tuesday,

 

Other states that have set up panels to probe police excesses include Edo, Imo and Delta.

 

Meanwhile concern continues to be raised over the need to determine who exactly gave the other for the military to participate in the quashing of the protests and dispersal of protesters that had been peacefully protesting at the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos.
