#EndSARS: Amusement over Fashola’s camera find

By John Eche

An outpouring of comic amusement has greeted the public discovery of a camera at the Lekki Toll Gate scene of the recent #LekkiShooting by Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN.

The minister, who is a former governor of Lagos State was in the convoy of South West governors and top ranking government officials that were undertaking an inspection tour of the sites of the carnage and crisis when he reportedly stumbled on the find.

However, many are incredulous over the news which was transmitted live on national television.

I love Fashola ooo.. next time, daddy should look at the script very well before he acts. That’s a terrible acting. So no one saw that camera for days, not even lawma. Omo, they no rate us true true

“My dear Sanwo-olu Watson, I deduce by my rough calculations, that if we inspect the crime scene yet again, even after it’s been cleaned, we will stumble upon evidence that may yet prove decisive in our case to prove that no one actually died in Lekki”

Sherlock Fashola, 2020

Lagos lawyer, Ebun Olu-Adegboruwa has also faulted the involvement of public officials with the scene of the incident asserting that this was not consistent with the imperative of an impartial and untramelled public investigation into the incident that had been widely demanded by the public and assented to by the authorities.

The Difference checks have also not confirmed whether the relevant security agencies had undertaken a forensic investigation of the scene of the incident before the Lagos State Government sent down operatives of the Lagos State Waste Management Agency, LAWMA to clean up the grounds and premises.
