First meeting between leaders of both nations to hold soon

Encomiums have continued to pour in for the recent efforts by Ethiopia and Eritrea to push towards peace and end a state of tension that has existed since 1991.
Initiated by Ethiopian President, Abiy Ahmed, the effort was reciprocated by Eritrea last week when a visiting delegation from that country set foot in Ethiopia for the first time in 27 years.
Next on the table is a face-to-face summit between Presidents Abiy Ahmed and his Eritrean counterpart, Issias Aferwerki.
Already, the move is being lauded by world leaders that include the Pope and the Chairman of the African Union and President of Ethiopia, Mr Paul Kagame.
