Ethiopia still in slow recovery over Boeing crash

US regulators query firm

By Tasie Theodore

Ethiopia is still in slow recovery following last Sunday’s crash involving an Ethiopian airline flight from Addis Ababa to Nairobi.

At the same time, US regulators have also intervened to ask the plane manufacturer, Boeing, to take urgent steps to fix the alleged technical issues affecting the Boeing plane that was involved in the incident.

Commenting on the avalanche of goodwill that has been extended to him and the nation in this season of mourning, the office of Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, tweeted:

‘On behalf of the FDRE Government, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed expresses his gratitude to world leaders and the international community for their messages of condolence and support in our time of mourning all the precious lives we lost aboard ET 302.’

Pan-African scholar and public commentator, Pius Adesanmi was one of the victims of the ill-fated crash.
