Latest reading promotions icon visits Lagos Governor

Bayode Treasures-Olawumi, who last Saturday became the new world record holder and champion in the Guinness world records category for the longest read-aloud session in human history on Wednesday visited Governor Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos State.
The Lagos resident who achieved the feat in a session that ran from Monday through Saturday last week read for a total of 120 hours to eclipse the earlier record of 113 hours, 15 minutes that had been set by in 2008 by Deepak Sharma of Nepal.
The historic win was achieved at the Herbert Macaulay Library, Yaba, Lagos.
Commenting on the visit, the latest Nigerian and African reading promotions icon remarked via his twitter handle:
‘Earlier today at the Lagos House, I paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Akinwunmi Ambode who commended me on my advocacy for the reading CULTURE.’
