I sometimes reflect on the choice and costs of standing on the side of the people instead of “the system”. Instead of settling for appointments and contracts in a dysfunctional, ruderless state. As a personal choice one lives with it happily, hoping one day we get good leadership

The challenge is for us to find a path to changing the depressing status quo. That’s a task not for one man or a few. It’s one for ALL of us who believe that the lives of the 100 million people in extreme poverty, the lives 40 million unemployed and underemployed, can be better.

We have the numbers on our side. What’s left is the will to ACT on what we believe at the ballot box. The alternative is more years of poverty, insecurity, and protracted state failure under the status quo. Is that the choice you’d rather make?’
