Investigations ongoing into Yobe bomb blast

Investigations are currently ongoing into Tuesday mornings, suicide bomb blast in the Yobe State capital, Damaturu.

Uncomfirmed reports minutes after the blast put the death toll at seven with a furher handful injured.

A suicide bomber is said to have been involved even as sources say the incident has all the trappings of a classical Boko Haram operation.

The Islamist group has been operating in large swathes of North eastern Nigeria and the adjoining Central African region for about a decade.
