By Nsikan Ikpe
Notable thespian, Joke Silva and performer, Ige are some of the names listed to headline the third edition of the annual discourse and performance event, SPILL, an acronym for Speaking Intelligently, Ladies Lead.
It is a pan- African speaking platform set up to amplify the voice of women in Africa as they share their authentic stories and ideas of value with the rest of the world.
In the words of the convener, a He for She advocate and women enthusiast, Tomide Olukuade, Africa must never mute the voice of her best storytellers that are laden with wisdom, depth and sustaining values. The writer and media consultant believes that in the pursuit of social equilibrium, feminine voices must claim a tidy portion of the continent’s narrative – creation space.
Billed to speak at this storytelling and ideas – sharing event which would hold in Lagos on Sunday, October 28 are seven cerebral women drawn from different fields and generations. They include the veteran award winning actress, Joke Silva, Project Fame West Africa vocal coach and singer, Ige and the Director General, Nigerian – British Chamber of Commerce, Bunmi Afolabi
.

The free event with the theme, Friendships, Influences and Progress, is expected to draw about five hundred women and women lovers into the state-of-the-art Zone Tech Park, Gbagada Expressway event venue.
