It’s first AU session to hold in Mauritania
By Tajudeen Hamzat
In a decisive show of growth, the West African nation of Mauritania is set to host the forthcoming July summit of the African Union, AU.
This would be the first time that the nation which hosted the Arab Summit two years ago, will be hosting the grand confab of African leaders.
Billed to be discussed at the event are issues bordering on terrorism, extremism, corruption and the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement, #AFCFTA.
Mauritania had secured Independence from colonial France on November 28, 1960.
AU Chairperson, Moussa Faki Mahamat
