More kudos continue to come the way of the high-flying Golden Eaglets of Nigeria following their impressive run of play at the just ended World U-17 tourney in the UAE.
The latest is from Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan.
In his statement signed on his behalf by Press Secretary, Felix Ofou, the Governor commended the team for its brilliant run throughout the tournament.
He also congratulated the Eaglets for winning the U-17 football title for a record fourth time.
In his reaction to the Eaglets 3-0 win over their Mexican counterparts, Uduaghan said the victory was a reflection of the resilience in the Nigerian spirit.
‘Despite our challenges, diversity and divisions, the Golden Eaglets have shown that we are a united people and that our greatness will become manifest as we join hands in spite of all odds to build a great Nation”, he said.
