The race to find the most financially successful films in Nollywood is on. The Difference reporter Vicky Bricks joined in on the search and now shares her findings.

An historical fiction drama by Izu Ojukwu, 76 is the number five on the list, the movie cast includes; Ramsey Nouah, Rita Dominic, Chidi Mokeme, Ibinabo Fiberes. Produced by Adonijah Owiriwa, 76 shows a young pregnant woman and her husband, a soldier accused of being involved in the 1976 military coup and assassination of General Murtala Mohammed.

Fifty is a 2015 Nigerian romantic drama produced by Tope Oshin Ogun, staring; Nse Ikpe Etim, Omoni Oboli, Dakore Akande and Iretiola Doyle.

The movie shows four grown women who are all very successful in their career but were cut up with the struggles to meet the demand of love, combining their personal lives with their career and keeping their friendship.


30 days in Atlanta

30 days in Atlanta is a Nigerian romantic comedy-drama film produced by Ayo Makun and directed by Robert Peters. Staring; Ayo Makun, Ramsey Nouah, Desmond Eliot, RichardAkpofe Damijo, Omoni Oboli, Juliet Ibrahim, Vivica A. Fox, Lynn Whitfield and Majid Michel. 30 days in Atlanta is about a young man named Akpos who won a 30 day holiday for two to Atlanta Georgia. He takes his cousin along on the all expenses-paid trip. Akpos flings his unique personality showing off his smartness and foolishness in an exciting witty humor.

The Wedding Party, a 2016 Nigerian romantic comedy drama is the first on the list. The Wedding Party is directed by Kemi Adetiba and stars; Adesua Etomi, Banky Wellington, Richard Mofe Damijo, Sola Sobowale, Iretiola Doyle, Alibaba Akporobome, Zainab Balogun and Beverly Naya and many others. The wedding party is a riveting tale of the complexity of love . It is the story of Dunni Coker, a 24 year old art gallery owner and only daughter of her parents about to marry the love of her life, IT entrepreneur Dozie.
