A new book, Dying, Death and Comfort Measures which advocates inclusive medical and non-medical care options for addressing the challenges people face at the end of life is set to hit the book stands.

Weitten by Pete Webster, the book is coming on the imprint of AuthorHouse.

According to the text of a statement from the publishers:

‘Pete Webster wanted to help patients, patients’ families and caregivers to cope better with their dying loved ones’ struggles and needs at the very end of life. It is for this reason he has written “Dying, Death and Comfort Measures” (published by AuthorHouse).

This book’s ultimate goal is to provide better understanding and recommendations for tackling and coping with hospice crisis conditions. Webster believes that identifying, isolating and expanding people’s knowledge about these crisis conditions are key to providing their dying loved ones the comfort they deserve. To accomplish this, this book groups specific end-of-life crisis conditions into five areas, umbrellas. And then it proceeds to answer and provide logical step-by-step therapeutic modality interventions. This book is also designed to simplify the ups and downs during hospice-related crises.

“Given the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and its fallouts, more and more regular people are confronted with the task of managing the possibility of people around them dying. They need to be best informed on what to do and how to respond,” Webster says. He adds, “Our dying love one’s deserves their end of life battles to be tranquil, pain free and comfortable. This book provides all the above in addition with pragmatic solution on how to accomplish the above with simple logical comprehensive education.”

When asked what he wants readers to take away from the book, Webster answers, “There isn’t much we can do about the past except learn from it, we do have some control over today and most control tomorrow. Our love ones’ end of life journey should be welcome, cherished and comfortable regardless of the out of control symptoms and other dynamic. We can only achieve the above thru knowledge and hence, this book is designed to empower the dying, their families and caregivers and society in general.”

Pete Webster has been engaged in the medical arena for three decades.
