Nigerian teen author to get Kwame Nkrumah award

Teen author, Oluebube Sharon James has been nominated for the Kwame Nkrumah Pan-African (Young Author) Meritorious Award.

The daughter of the media practicioner, librarian and reading promoter, Raphael James – who runs a free-to-use public library at Idimu, Lagos – the young writer had penned her first full-length book, Freedom. at the age of six.

The award is to be presented in September at an event billed for the Kwame Nkrumah Maoseleum in Accra, Ghana.
