Express continued dissatisfaction over government’s handling of crisis
By John Eche
Nigerians have continued to express their outrage and dissatisfaction over the Federal Government’s handling of the #Benuekillings.
They made this known in reaction to a presidency tweet confirming an ongoing meeting at the Aso Villa between the Federal Government and Benue leaders on Monday afternoon.
The meeting is coming on the heels of widespread criticism of the glaring absence of the resident or his representatives at the mass burial of 73 victims of the suspected Fulani herdsmen attacks last week.

Please address this. Don’t go bullying
@GovSamuelOrtom To remove a state law that should protect his people You have been disingenuous in this matter and it must stop Act now, be the C-in-C of Benue people, protect them and prevent these killings PROSECUTE THE MURDERERSMoreThose behind the attack should be brought to Book, it didn’t take time for the New day attackers at River state was gunned down, why is Benue state own taking long
He should visit the affected communities in Benue, that’s how we get to see his humane side not via some documentary.
Just because 2019. You can’t ignore people’s plea for better security for 3 years only to start acting like you care few months to general election. Smh
MoreShouldn’t you have done this before now? How unbelievable the Presidency allow things to get out of hand before finding solutions to it that may not be able to totally eradicate it. Can you bring back the dead?
@nassnigeria is complicit in this matter as said by Ortom of Benue.Such meetings will not have positive outcomes.
@MBuhari filled the top echelon our security forces with his Katsina/Fulani brothers. How on earth will they initiate plans to eliminate the terrorism of Fulani Herdsmen?@NGRPresident is a sectional leader-President of Hausa-FulaniMeeting ke???? As if they will do anything… Mtchewww
MoreWhat is interior minister doing at the meeting – he has abdicated his responsibility since November 2015!
MoreGreat leaders of great nations value the lives of their citizens and protect them from internal and external forces. We have yet to see an appropriate response from this government except meetings and more meetings which are time wasting strategies. Justice is demanded.
The president must ensure that the perpetrators of this terrorist acts are arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law
MoreWe are waiting to hear good from both sides.
Confused set clowns in govt. Where would have been the best place for such meeting? Aso villa or the state in question in other have first hand information and also interact with the locals affected by the menace?
Too late… WE SHALL REMEMBER THE MURDEROUS ACTS OF THE FULANI AT THE POLL
The president doesn’t understand it’s not about just Benue. It’s about securing the ENTIRE COUNTRY from herdsmen &other crimes. There are FOUNDATIONAL ISSUES to tackle; not piecemeal measures like meeting Benue elders &gov Tomorrow it’ll be Nassarawa elders or Cross River elders?
MoreTo do what ? After they allowed the killing chop and clean mouth meeting
Moreso if another massacre happens tommorow in another state, then another round of meeting will be convened abi. Habamana!!!!!! Why not bring a complete end to this whole killings in the country and stop this whole propaganda.
