Students of the Obafemi Awolowo University are set for a time of their life as two top-notch entertainment gurus are set to storm the citadel of learning come Friday August 7 to perform before an assembled audience at the Oduduwa hall of the institution.
Currently, the mood of the students is that of high expectations even as they hope that the invited artistes will not disappoint them.
Speaking with TheDifference one of the organizers of the event, Pastor Endurance said that every necessary arrangement had already been put in place to ensure a hitch-free event.
When asked if there were provisions for adequate security at the event, Endurance replied in the affirmative, adding that that indeed is one of the reasons why the Oduduwa hall of the university was chosen as venue.
‘We have made all adequate provisions and also pray that that God helps us,’ he stated.
It will be recalled that Seyi Law had been in OAU in 2014 for the Diamond bank SWAG mind concert which also featured the duo of Banky W and Wizkid. The show organized by Diamond Bank as a prelude to the 2014 NUGA games can be said to be the best show ever held on the OAU campus in recent times.
The latest event is being put together by Club extreme in conjunction with G-CU3E and it is tagged: Public Announcement 2.0″. The organisers hope is that the show would surpass the Diamond Bank SWAG concert with OAU students expecting lots from the event.
In his comments, Nelson Olaoye, a 300level English student expressed his hope that the event will indeed be worth his while. ” I am eager to witness the show,” he said.
Emmanuel Akinwuni, a Fine Arts student also expressed the hope that the event will surpass expectations as he pans to attend to laugh himself off while Seyi Law cracks his jokes. Feelers from the organisers equally outline that the programme is scheduled to be compered by Deji Crown Fm and would also feature side attractions in which the top artistes invited will not only perform but also speak about their life as stars.
The show is equally being supported by the Students Union through the Office of the Social Director.
Other artists billed to perform at the event are ENDY, Arole, DBASS and Davon and the advertised time for the event is 6pm.
