Central Banker and former presidential candidate, Dr. Obadiah Malaifia may soon be released on bail from the custody of the Department of State Security, DSS, The Difference has learnt.

According to a Channels TV report monitored on the Politics Today programme on Wednesday, this would however not come until after he has perfected the bail conditions that have currently been presented before him.

Malaifia had been invited by the Department following comments he had made in respect of the national security situation in the country.

Several commentators had taken to the social media to demand his release, arguing that, singling him out for questioning whereas many other people had also made comments in relation to the ongoing national security crisis in the country was not a balanced way of addressing the situation.
