Nigerian-American storyteller bags award

Okey Ndibe’s book, “Never Look an American in the Eye,” has won the Connecticut Book Award in the nonfiction category.
According to a Facebook notice by the author, he is ‘so grateful to Connecticut Humanities Program and Connecticut Center for the Book. I feel deeply blessed.’
Born in Nigeria’s Independence year, Ndibe is also the author of Arrows of Rain and Foreign Gods, Inc and was also a former editor of Chinua Achebe’s African Commentary magazine.
