Oluwatuyi, CSS Bookshops helmsman, elected Book Fair Trust chairman

President of the Booksellers Association of Nigeria, BAN and helmsman at CSS Bookshops Limited, Mr. Dare Oluwatuyi has been elected Chairman of the umbrella grouping of book industry players in the country, the Nigerian Book Fair Trust, NBFT.

 

The very active bookseller who is also a trustee of the Network of Book Clubs and Reading Culture Promoters in Nigeria, NBRP, is succeeding former Nigerian Publishers Association President and Accessible Publishing MD, Mr Gbadega Adedapo in the NBFT Chairmanship role.

 

The change of baton took place at the close of a two-day Annual General Meeting of the trust that was held in Ikeja, Lagos on Wednesday and Thursday and also saw Mr Olugbemi Malomo of the Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria, CIPPON elected as Vice Chairman.

 

The Nigerian Book Fair Trust is organiser of the annual Nigerian International Book Fair that is now in its 22nd run. The 2023 edition is scheduled to take place at Yard 58, Oregun, Lagos and would discuss, among other issues, matters related to the challenges associated with making and implementing National Book Policies in Africa.
