Voters in Osun State are weighing their options as the guber polls to elect a successor to outgoing Governor Rauf Aregbesola close in.
In all, 48 parties are scheduled to contest the elections with preliminary findings however revealing that the trio of the ruling APC, the PDP and the Social Democratic Party, SDP are strong front-runners on the field at the moment.
While the APC has Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola as candidate, the PDP is being represented by Senator Adeleke.
Other notable parties in the contest include the Alliance for Democracy, AD which has as its governorship candidate, James Olugbenga Akintola, the African Democratic Congress, ADC whose flag is being flown by Fatai Akinade Akinbade, the African Democratic Party, ADP with Adeoti Moshood Olalekan as flagbearer, and the Abundant Nigerian Renewal Party, ANRP that is fielding Alarape Babatunde as its gubernatorial candidate
Others are the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA whose governor candidate is Oluwatoki Adetokunbo Adedayo, the Democratic Peoples Congress, DPC’s Aderemi Aree and the NCP’s Kamarudeen Kalemi Abiodun.
