Nigerian traders take protest to ECOWAS

There is widespread outrage over the closure of Nigerian businesses in Ghana and Nigerian traders have tasked the Economic Commission for West African States, ECOWAS to intervene in the ongoing action of the Ghanaian government.

The closure they disclosed is being carried out in conjunction with the Ministry of Trade and Industry and has affected no fewer than 400 shops as at press time.

It is alligned to a controversial policy that foreign businesses in Ghana must show evidence of a million dollars as a minimum condition for investing and doing business in the country.
