Prepaid meters: Ikeja Electric’s PR stunt backfires

Customers fault distribution company, demand meters

An attempt by the electricity distribution company, Ikeja Electric, to pull a PR stunt on the controversial subject of its not providing prepaid billing meters to thousands of its customers has backfired.

Taking to its twitter handle recently, yhe firm posted a picture and an accompanying caption stating that its men were hard at work, installing the prepaid meters to its customers.

The caption read:

However, distraught subscribers posted their responses to the stunt.
