By Akpo Ometan

Two presidency spokespersons in Nigeria have disagreed over the details of a reported burglary attempt on the precincts of the Aso Rock villa in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

This is coming on the heels of reports in the media to the effect that burglars had attacked the homes of one or more presidency staff, including that of the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari.
In a swift reaction, Bahir Ahmad had tweeted:
‘Bashir Ahmad
@BashirAhmaad

An exclusive FAKE NEWS from this news blog, that is what is expected from you, fake news and more fake news.’
Following on Ahmad’s tweet, Garba Shehu had made his own tweet:
‘Garba Shehu
@GarShehu

The Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari has confirmed that there “was a foolish attempt” to burgle his residence at 3:00am this morning but it turned out to be unsuccessful.’
