Relief in Yobe over visit of Army Chief

Yobe State Governor, Ibrahim Geidam has expressed his relief and the hope of the people of Yobe state that the visit Saturday of the new Chief of Army Staff, Major-General Yusuf Buratai to the state would help in winning the war against insurgency in the state.

In his reaction, the new Army Chief, Major-General Buratai stated that he had come to the state to help boost civil-military relations and the morale and discipline of his troops. He also said he would be appraising the combat readiness of his men as well as checking on their stock of equipment and armaments neeeded to carry out the task at hand.
