Amidst security crackdown, protests format changes to ‘stay at home’

Congolese opposition leader, Martin Fayulu has called on citizens and voters to remain focused on the core objective of ending two decades of Kabila rule in the country and not allow themselves to be consumed by the acts of provocation by the authorities.
Fayulu, who is a front-line candidate in Sunday’s presidential polls has also urged his fellow countrymen to stay at home on Friday and come out enmasse on Sunday to vote.
The Congolese Electoral Commission, CENI and the government of President Joseph Kabila have come under sustained criticism over their less-than-satisfactory roles in the conduct of the long-delayed polls in the country which now hold this Sunday while the second part of the process would be completed in March 2019!
