The crisis in Nigeria’s House of Representatives is yet to be resolved despite entreaties and pleas from the highest quarters.
Addressing members of the House from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, during an interractive session in Abuja today, President Muhammadu Buhari appealed to their sense of conscience to ensure that they sheathe their swords, bury individual differences and work with him towards delivering the promises the party had made to the people.
Meanwhile, one of the members of the Loyalist Group that has continued to challenge the leadership of House Speaker, Aminu Dogara, Hon. Ado Doguwa has broken ranks with his fellow ‘dissident representatives’ and called on members of his group to embrace reality and cooperate with the Speaker as elected.
Doguwa, who has been offered a leadership position by Dogara leadership in the ‘consensus list’ was speaking to Television Continental on Monday.
The house is scheduled to reconvene tomorrow, Tuesday.
