Six weeks to polling, Nigerian voters frisk candidates
By John Eche
Six weeks to the formal execution of the long awaited presidential and parliamentary polls in the country, Nigerian voters are frisking the candidates in the contest and trying to reach measured conclusions as to who to throw their support behind.
Analysts say the odds favour one of the trio of Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, Peter Obi of Labour and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party. Rabiu Musa Kwankwanso is a fourth frontline candidate in the contest which some pundits suggest could even swing into a second run situation.
Outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari has run a less than salutary administration and many Nigerians are in a hurry to see who his successor would be.
