South Africa: Eskom under fire over electricity price hike
South African electricity behemoth, Eskom is under fire over its proposed 2023 electricity price hike, The Difference Newspaper reports.
Leading the opposition is the Democratic Alternative, DA party that controls the influential cities of Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Eskom says the 20.5 percent hike is neceesary to continue to keep the system running.
