Popular American preacher, the Bishop T.D. Jakes is billed to headline the 2017 edition of the annual Spirit Life Conference being hosted this week by the House on the Rock Church in Lagos, Nigeria.
Jakes, who is the Presiding Bishop at the Potters House, Dallas, Texas is an author of several books and a regular presence on the Christian television and gospel ministry circuit.
The event which would be taking place at the ministry’s headquarters complex, the Rock Cathedral in Lekki, Lagos would run from Wednesday, August 23rd through Sunday, August 27.
Also ministering at the event whose theme is ‘Emerge’ are Bishop Tudor Bismarck, Bishop Wayne Malcolm, Reverend Funke Adejumo and the host, Pastor Paul Adefarasin.
Other than the ministry’s regular musical ensemble, the Lagos Metropolitan Gospel Choir, LMGC, other notable music acts expected to feature in the event are Donnie McClurkin, Sonnie Badu, Segun Obe, BeeJay Sax and Eno Michaels.
Founded in 1994, the House on the Rock Church has grown over the years to become a major presence on the Nigerian Christian scene. Its star event, The Experience, regularly draws hundreds of thousands of worshippers to Lagos every December even as it has come to be a veritable platform for some of the most celebrated gospel music acts in the English-speaking world.
