With #TE15G, The Experience will be different
By Ada Anioji
#TE15G, the 15th edition of the annual gospel music concert, The Experience, will be a different encounter all by itself, feelers from the principal organisers, the House on the Rock Church reveal.
The concert, which has run continuously since its debut in 2006, is traditionally held in the first weekend of December of every year. This year however, it will hold on Friday, December 11th.
Also of note is the fact that the #TE15G edition is packaged to run as an essentially virtual global edition with a lot of the audience participating from the comfort of their homes as well as through designated but COVID-19 compliant watch centres.
Over 150 nations are expected to be covered and ‘the idea is to have a multi-cultural worship experience that would involve people of multiple ethnicities and skin tones lifting up their voices all over the world in the praise and worship of our God,’ a top official remarked.
Previous editions of The Experience have seen the likes of Donnie McClurkin, Nathaniel Bassey, Sinach, Fred Hammond, Nikki Laoye, Mike Aremu, Planetshakers, Lionel Peterson, Don Moen, Travis Greene, Kirk Franklin, Midnight Crew, Tope Alabi, Chioma Jesus, Tye Tribbet, Glowreeyah Buraimoh, Sammie Okposo and the Lagos Metropolitan Gospel Choir, LMGC performing.
Notable men of God that have shared the word or led prayer sessions at the annual interdenominational rally of Christians and gospel music lovers include Bishop Tudor Bismarck, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Pastor Sam Adeyemi, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo and Bishop Mike Okonkwo.
Notable celebrities, entertainment icons, captains of industry and political figures also attend the sessions which has the Metropolitan Senior Pastor of the House on the Rock Churches, Pastor Paul Adefarasin as Convener and Host.
