Tension in Osun ahead Saturday’s APC primaries

By Akpo Ometan

There is palpable tension in Osun State, Nigeria ahead of Saturday’s governorship primaries of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, The Difference reports.

The core point of conflict is the lingering disagreement between the camps of incumbent Governor, Gboyega Oyetola and his predecessor and incumbent Minister of the Interir, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

Aregbesola is supporting the bid of his former Secretary to the State Government, Moshood Adeoti to displace Oyetola.

The governorship polls proper is scheduled to hold on July 16.
