Tributes as Shaka Ssali’s set to retire

Tributes are pouring in following the announcement by the Straight Talk Africa team that veteran African Affairs commentator, Shaka Ssali is set to retire in May.

 

This is even as a notice posted on the twitter handle of the programme which makes its appearance weekly on TV screens in Africa and North America, has invited fans and followers to comment on the impact of the presenter’s outings across the past two decades that he had been on the saddle.

Shaka Ssali was the most frustrated diasporian. He knew alot more than an ordinary pers about what played out globally, forces that determined Africa politics, but yet he was unable to influence change in the way he yearned to. He is an iconic & celebrity journalist of our time.
