By Nsikan Ikpe
There is a palpable sense of unease in the Plateau following the killing of no less than 11 people in attacks by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Bassa and Jos South Local Government Areas on Sunday, The Difference has learnt.
The attacks took place while the State Governor, Mr Simon Lalong was away on a visit to China in the entourage of Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Nigeria Police have since confirmed at least one of the attacks.
The fresh onslaught is coming in the wake of another very distressing incident where as many as 40 Nigerian soldiers were reportedly killed in an attack that was allegedly carried out by the Islamist sect, Boko Haram.
